Perfecting the ideal sound environment, the kind that makes your body sway to the rhythm or moves you to tears, isn’t about finding a single solution. There are as many ideal soundscapes as there are ways to enjoy music. I realized this firsthand during my twenties, when I worked as a musician’s personal assistant, experiencing the raw magic of music production up close.
In 2011, I began testing a new idea with my own Mercedes W126. Back then, I made three promises to myself:
The system must be installed without any drilling or modifications to the vehicle, preserving the interior’s original design.
It must deliver fatigue-free listening, allowing you to enjoy music at high volumes while driving for hours in comfort.
It must create an emotional, immersive musical space unlike anything I’d ever experienced, either at home or in a car.
From there, the lineup expanded to include young classic cars like the W124, W201/W123 Mercedes models, and the Mazda Roadster NA, ND, NC, and NB models. By 2024, we’d delivered over 750 speaker systems to cherished cars around the world. Considering that I personally handle every aspect of development—from requesting handcrafted parts from artisans to meticulously assembling the final products by hand—the support from our customers has been nothing short of extraordinary. I’m deeply grateful for this continued backing.
In 2024, we reached a new milestone with the completion of a system for the air-cooled Porsche 911, and we’re about to begin production on a new redesign for the W126. As I continue to honor the three promises I made 13 years ago, my goal remains the same: to offer the Yamaguchi Speaker System, filled with the benefits of vehicle-specific custom designs that far surpass any economic inefficiencies. Every system is crafted with precision and passion to elevate your driving experience to new, emotional heights.
