The NB Roadster Speaker System: Now Available as a Complete Package
After much trial and error, the subwoofer we spent the longest time perfecting during the development of the NB Roadster Speaker System is finally complete.
It’s taken quite a while since the main speaker system was finalized, but we’re now ready to begin accepting orders for the full system.
You can choose the complete 3D sound system powered by a DSP amplifier, or opt for a setup driven by a more conventional power amplifier such as the SR5.600, which we also highly recommend.
We’ve included a short video below that provides an overview of the NB Roadster Speaker System. It runs for about 11 minutes, with the music portion starting around the 7:30 mark. Please note that this video was recorded using a prototype unit installed on only one side, rather than the final dual-unit production version—but it still gives a solid impression of the sound experience inside the NB Roadster.
We encourage you to listen with a high-quality pair of headphones to truly appreciate the depth and character of the audio.

★ How to Order the Speaker System
① This is the simplest setup, replacing only the front speakers (tweeters and door speakers). While technically installable, the Yamaguchi speaker system is designed with the assumption of pairing with a subwoofer, so we do not recommend this configuration.
② This basic configuration combines the NB speaker system (tweeters and door speakers) specialized in rich mid-to-high-frequency music expression with a subwoofer kit that provides a foundation of depth and power to enhance the sound. We have selected a power amplifier capable of providing output sufficient for enjoying music even while driving with the top down. An audio or car navigation head unit with subwoofer control functionality is required. Please note that installation fees are not included and will be charged separately.
③ The combination of the NB speaker system, NB subwoofer, and BassPLUS+ will elevate the music played through the NB speaker system to an emotional experience that many will likely find new and exciting. If you want to fully enjoy the potential of the NB speaker system without needing DSP or high-resolution audio sources, this setup is the best choice. Please note that installation fees are not included and will be charged separately.
④ The benefit of choosing the DSP Power Amp. KIT is that it allows you to tailor the music environment to your personal taste and how you use your car. One commonly discussed feature is time alignment, which helps create a centered soundstage. However, this is just one example of the capabilities of the system. The key is to understand the unique feel of the Roadster and the musical presence preferred by the owner, and to blend those together with DSP tuning and the technical expertise and experience to maximize the system's potential. This configuration does not include the 3D system, but it can be upgraded to include it in configuration ⑤, which makes use of all the equipment. Two power amp configurations, AF-M and AF-C, are available, each offering different levels of power and musical expression. Please note that installation fees are not included and will be charged separately.
⑤ In the NB Roadster, which lacks rear speakers, it was previously impossible to create a sense of depth in the music’s soundstage. The NB Roadster 3D system adds rear-facing speakers without altering the design of the interior or exterior. Special sound settings using DSP elevate the music from a flat soundscape that previously spread across the front screen to a vibrant 3D sound space where vocalists and guitarists come to life. We hope you can enjoy open-air driving while immersing yourself in the experience of being surrounded by your favorite musicians. Please note that installation fees are not included and will be charged separately.
